Digital Music License Agreement (Full Terms)

Simply Liturgical Music (“SLM”) grants to the original purchaser of this annual SLM subscription (“Subscriber”) permission to reproduce digitally or in print and use any/all material found throughout the SLM website (“Compositions”) for exactly one year from the date of purchase with these restrictions in mind:

Reproduction: Compositions may be reproduced digitally or in print by the Subscriber as much as needed. The Subscriber may keep and use reproduced Compositions indefinitely as long as Compositions are used only within and for the Subscriber’s community (be it a Worshiping Community, a School Community, or an individual). However, the Subscriber may not distribute, loan or resell these materials or copies of same to another Worshipping/School community or to another individual outside their Worshipping/School Community.

Property Rights: Subscriber acknowledges that the ownership and intellectual property rights to this title is, and at all times shall remain, the exclusive property of the original Composers. Therefore, no alteration of Composition (music or lyrics) may be made without the express written consent of the Composer. An exception is granted for translations into the language of the community.

Individual Subscription: If the original Subscriber is an individual, and the individual ends his/her service to the Worshipping/School Community, the rights contained in this agreement are retained by the individual, not the Worshipping Community. The individual may keep and use the Compositions downloaded, but may use them only personally. The Worshipping/School Community must destroy/delete all copies of Compositions left to them or become a Subscriber.

Community Subscription: If the original Subscriber is a Worshipping/School Community, the rights contained in this agreement are retained by the Worshipping Community, not an individual. Should any individual end his/her service to the Worshipping Community, that community may keep and use the Compositions downloaded. The individual may not keep copies of Compositions in their possession unless they too become a Subscriber.

Congregational Reprints: The Subscriber may not reproduce vocal, instrumental, or any other musician’s scores for congregational use. Only the congregational reprint files may be reproduced for the Worshipping Community. Copying of these files must be reported to One License (www.onelicense.net).

Electronic Distribution: The Subscriber may not under any circumstances make use of any of these files on the Internet (YouTube, Facebook, etc.). However, Subscribers can provide their community musicians access to SLM resources (PDF and MP3 files) digitally in any way necessary that does not leave these resources open to the public. Anyone else interested in SLM’s resources must simply be directed to www.slmusic.org.

Other Restrictions: This license does not grant permission for audio recordings of any SLM Composition, public performance for profit, or for inclusion in a permanent worship aide such as a hymnal. Worshipping/School Communities wishing to use any selection of Compositions for such purposes should contact SLM to obtain the necessary license. Also, this license does not grant permission to reprint Compositions for an entire diocese, deanery, religious order at large, nor any other governing body or organization of the Worshipping Community. Any such entities wishing to utilize or reprint Compositions should contact SLM to obtain the necessary license.

May this music help you and your community glorify the Lord with your lives and may God continue to bless you in your ministry,

Kelly James Barth, Owner
